Communications Executive Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Communications Executive to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining good relationships with external agencies and colleagues in the marketing and communications team in New York ;
- Preparing online newsletters and promotional emails and organise their distribution through various channels;
- Supporting processes for awards submissions and awards dinners, and ensuring appropriate attendance;
- Writing press releases;
- Manage events such as the monthly Rank Interactive Town halls;
- Monitoring the press office;
- Monitoring press mentions;
- Maximise technology to improve the delivery of communication to end users;
- Developing relationships with digital agencies;
- Assisting the Communications Manager with the day-to-day operations;
- Project manage magazine, copy-writing;
- Draft press realises in relation to UK firm news, this will include diversity and graduate recruitment;
- Putting together marketing strategy and plans;
- Creating content across all external channels;
- Helping increase the firm’s visibility across their offices and practices globally.
Requirements:
- Experience or knowledge of content creation, social media marketing and search engine optimisation;
- Willingness to pitch in and assist with other projects and share responsibilities on an as-needed basis;
- Approachable and inquisitive, able to liaise with many departments to gain necessary info;
- 1-2 years’ of communications and/or journalism experience, in healthcare preferred but not essential;
- Team player, can work at a fast pace;
- Analytical mindset, able to review, report and act on the impact and effectiveness of communications channels and activities;
- Experience in working with broad stakeholder groups within large complex matrix organisations;
- Experience in a previous communications/PR role;
- Previous experience in working within and producing content about Construction or Civil Engineering industry would be advantageous but not essential;
- Understands (or has the potential to understand) scientific, medical and technological issues, including academic publishing and material;
- Attention to detail, meets deadline;
- Previous work in In Design, Email marketing tools, digital and social media channels highly beneficial;
- Internal communications background but open to assisting with external communications as required;
- Social media posts, blogs, email campaigns;
- Working to strict deadlines.
