Product Owner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Product Owner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- You will elicit and prioritise work targeted at both the feature development, go to market efficiencies, and operational stability of the product;
- Review, update and sign off test scripts for both in-track and regression testing, ensuring full coverage of the user stories;
- Work with Claims to ensure any Policy changes are communicated ahead of change to ensure any impacts are considered;
- Validate and prioritise requirements based on business and commercial priorities having regard to existing commitments and broader product strategy;
- Set sprint goals;
- Ensure the product team deliver on time and in budget in accordance with an agreed product roadmap;
- Refine our agile methodology based on results and user feedback;
- Developing the roadmap across internal operation systems and business processes with enhancements;
- Writing clearly defined user stories for new product features, issues and future enhancements;
- Working with the team to define and implement improvement stories that will increase the quality of the program;
- Work with an agile development team to enable tests and features on the product roadmap;
- Groom and prioritize backlog;
- Working within scrum team on estimation. Serve as a product expert;
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for your products within the business;
- Effectively communicate product release contents and expected product capabilities/behavior to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Business Analyst;
- Adaptive and strong team player with excellent customer relationship and negotiation skills;
- Strong oral, written and listening communication skills;
- Experience with commerce/booking/reservations;
- Experience of working with and managing stakeholders’ expectations;
- You’re confident and committed – not afraid to say “no” or make difficult decisions;
- Enthusiasm and passion for great products and services and an ability to articulate product vision and functionality;
- Experience with rapidly testing and measuring success of UX changes;
- Proven full product life cycle commercial experience;
- A confident, outgoing, style;
- Has worked with a SaaS product (web client/ with back end platform);
- Digital;
- Previous experience in a software product role;
- Problem solving, organizational and analytical skills;
- Experience with BDD, scaled agile, and scrum software development methodologies.
