Class 2 Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service;
- Completing daily vehicle checks;
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;
- Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information;
- Collection of clinical waste from customers;
- Driving Class 2 vehicles, 7.5t vehicles and vans safely and responsibly;
- Adhere to customers health and safety regulations;
- Safely securing loads prior to departing;
- General Haulage;
- Delivering great customer service;
- Vehicle Check, ensure load is safely strapped in (materials are FLT’d on and off – some handball will be involved dependent on the drops);
- Carrying out detailed vehicle walk round checks promptly reporting defects in writing;
- Unloading with tail lift and pump truck palletised products;
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures;
- Safely driving a Class 2 Driver curtainside vehicle to and from customers.
Requirements:
- You will hold a Class 2 licence;
- You will have 2 years minimum Class 2 work experience;
- Must hold a valid Digital Tacho card/ CPC Certificate;
- Valid CPC,Digital tacho cards;
- Integrity;
- It would be advantageous that you hold a valid Forklift licence (counterbalance); and;
- Valid CPC and TACHO;
- Have a proven history of working in a role similar;
- Excellent attitude for work;
- Previous experience in a dust cart/skip vehicle;
- Punctual and reliable;
- Experience in driving this type of vehicle;
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence and have no previous disqualifications;
- Driving License: C UK no more than 6 points;
- Maximum 6 points on licence (no serious offences).
