English Teacher (with QTS)- Secondary School

Key Stages: KS3–KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
Teaching Opportunity in a Well-Organised English Department
A secondary school in Peterborough is seeking to appoint an English Teacher to join its department from September. This is a full-time role within a supportive team that is focused on improving literacy, developing strong communication skills, and supporting student progress across all ability levels.
English is a core subject within the school, with structured schemes of work designed to support consistency in teaching and learning.
You will be responsible for delivering English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, teaching a range of texts, language skills, and writing techniques. You will also support students preparing for GCSE English Language and English Literature examinations, helping them build confidence and exam technique.
Depending on experience, there may be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching.
Deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach a range of literature and language topics
Support students with reading, writing, and analytical skills
Prepare students for GCSE English examinations
Contribute to departmental planning and resources
Promote high standards of literacy across the school
