About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a residential home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. This home will be a 4 bed EBD home.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care, creating positive outcomes, and developing a nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and staff performance are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the children's home.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and relevant legislation.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment.
• Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop a high-performing staff team.
• Manage recruitment, induction, training, and performance management processes.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are fully implemented and adhered to.
• Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and other professionals.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively.
• Monitor and improve service quality through audits, quality assurance processes, and action planning.
• Complete all required reports and notifications within regulatory timescales.
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support when required.

About You We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and who has proven leadership experience within residential childcare.
Essential Requirements

• Previous management experience within a residential children's home.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and children's residential care legislation.
• Experience leading, developing, and managing staff teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Desirable

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or 2 Years experience as a  Deputy Manager.
• Knowledge of therapeutic childcare approaches.
• Experience achieving positive Ofsted inspection outcomes/Being part of them.
