Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant – Bristol Schools – Immediate & September Opportunities

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about supporting children and young people and want to make a positive impact on their learning, confidence, and development.

Whether your experience is within Primary, Secondary, or Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings , we have a variety of opportunities available, including flexible supply work, long-term placements, and roles that could lead to permanent positions.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting children or young people within education, childcare, SEN, or other support settings .

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

✨ Support pupils across Primary, Secondary, and SEN settings
✨ Provide 1:1 and small group support to students
✨ Assist teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and learning tasks
✨ Support pupils with additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, communication difficulties, and complex needs
✨ Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement
✨ Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

✔ Have experience working with children or young people (school, childcare, or support experience)
✔ Have experience supporting pupils with SEN or a willingness to develop within SEND settings
✔ Have strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Are patient, reliable, adaptable, and passionate about education
✔ Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in a relevant support role (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
