A warm and busy family based in Holland Park is looking for an experienced Live-In Housekeeper/Cook to become a valued member of their established household team.

This position would suit someone who is naturally organised, takes real pride in their work and enjoys creating a clean, calm and beautifully maintained family home. The ideal candidate will be confident with high-level housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe care, as well as preparing fresh, wholesome meals for a family with young children.

The household is fully staffed, including a dedicated nanny who looks after the three school-aged children. As a result, the successful candidate will primarily concentrate on the smooth running and presentation of the home, together with family cooking.

The preferred working pattern is Wednesday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday, including weekends. The family may also consider a Monday to Friday arrangement for the right person.

Hours: 7:00am–7:00pm, with a substantial break during the day.

The principals have very high standards and are seeking someone meticulous, reliable and experienced, with an excellent eye for detail and a discreet, professional approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Housekeeping & Home Management
• Take responsibility for the daily upkeep of the family residence.
• Ensure all areas of the home are consistently immaculate, organised and well presented.
• Carry out detailed cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces.
• Manage laundry, fine ironing and clothing care to a very high standard.
• Look after quality garments, shoes and delicate household items appropriately.
• Maintain and organise wardrobes, ensuring clothing is presented and cared for correctly.
• Keep the household running smoothly and maintain excellent overall organisation.
• Monitor household stock and advise the family when supplies need replenishing.
• Report any maintenance concerns promptly.
• Cooking
• Prepare fresh, nutritious and appealing meals suitable for family life.
• Create straightforward, varied weekly menus.
• Shop for groceries and manage kitchen provisions when required.
• Keep the kitchen exceptionally clean, tidy and organised.
• Be comfortable preparing healthy, family-style food rather than formal fine dining.

The successful candidate will have private live-in accommodation within the property, including:

• Private bedroom
• Private bathroom
• Kitchenette area within the room
• Basement-level accommodation offering a high degree of privacy from the main family living areas
• Please note that the accommodation does not have a separate external entrance.
