£110 - £130 per dayOur client, a highly regarded educational institution in the heart of Fazakerley, Liverpool, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join their team as a Full-time Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Autism & Learning Difficulties. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with autism and learning difficulties, and to be a part of a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) at our client's facility, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with autism and learning difficulties. Your primary responsibilities will involve assisting teachers in the delivery of tailored lesson plans, providing one-on-one and small-group support, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
One of the key aspects of this role is your ability to create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere for students with autism and learning difficulties. You will work closely with the teaching staff to understand the unique needs and challenges of each student, and develop effective strategies to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your day-to-day duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting materials and activities to meet the individual needs of students
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to students, helping them to develop essential skills and understanding
- Monitoring and recording the progress of students, and providing detailed feedback to teachers and parents
- Supporting students with personal care tasks, such as toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene, as needed
- Encouraging and facilitating social interaction and communication between students, promoting inclusion and a sense of community
- Collaborating with the wider school team, including therapists, counselors, and other support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student care and development
- Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, following all relevant health and safety protocols
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a genuine passion for working with students with autism and learning difficulties, as well as a strong understanding of their unique needs and challenges. You should have experience in a similar teaching assistant or support role, and be able to demonstrate a track record of effectively supporting students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
In addition to your practical skills, you will need to be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You should also be highly organised, with strong problem-solving and adaptability skills to thrive in the dynamic environment of the school.
Our client is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment, with opportunities for professional development and career progression. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive daily rate of £110.00 - £130.00, reflecting the importance of this role and the expertise required.
If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with autism and learning difficulties, and you have the skills and experience to excel in this challenging but rewarding role, we encourage you to apply. Join our client's team and be a part of a truly impactful and fulfilling educational journey.
