We're looking for an Interim Financial Transformation Lead (Adults Commissioning) for a public sector organisation based in the West Midlands (hybrid) on a contract basis, paying up to £650 per day (Inside IR35).
This is a hybrid role with an expectation to attend the office in the West Midlands 1 to 2 days per week. The successful Interim Financial Transformation Lead will lead a focused programme of financial recovery and transformation across adult social care commissioning. You'll shape and deliver a system-wide approach to recovering significant outstanding debt linked to commissioned services delivered on behalf of health partners, while strengthening the systems and processes that underpin financial management. This is a commissioning-led transformation role rather than a traditional finance role, so you'll operate independently to drive lasting change, supported by the in-house finance team on technical areas. You will need proven experience working with the following: Commissioning-led transformation within local government or a comparable public sector environmentDesigning and embedding systems, processes and ways of working that drive performance improvement
Working across organisational boundaries, particularly with health partners such as Integrated Care Boards
Leading debt recovery activity, reconciling and recovering outstanding funding
Establishing clear, time-bound delivery plans and providing assurance to senior leadership and auditors
Operating independently and delivering at pace with clarity You'll also need strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the credibility to lead system-wide change and bring partners with you.
