We are working with a lovely primary school in BS4 that are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support children in Year 1 and Year 2. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with young children and understands how important these early years of primary school can be. Whether you've worked in a school before or gained experience through childcare, youth work, coaching or similar roles, this could be a great opportunity to build on your experience in education. You'll be supporting children both in class and in small groups, helping them with reading, phonics, writing and maths activities. Some children may need extra encouragement to stay focused or build confidence in their learning, so patience, a positive attitude and a calm approach are really important. The school has a welcoming feel and a supportive staff team who work closely together to make sure children are happy, settled and making progress. You'll be joining a classroom where every day is different, and where the small things—whether it's a child reading a new word for the first time or gaining confidence to answer a question—really matter.
