Senior Chef de Partie Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure the security of the stores during working hours and that they securely locked at the end of the shift;
- Consistently plating quality food through restaurant service;
- To report and where possible take action on customer and client complaints or compliments;
- To record daily costings of menu items when required;
- To ensure that statutory regulations including Food Safety and COSHH are adhered to in the absence of management;
- Collaborating with company Executive Chef designing event and restaurant menus;
- To ensure the smooth running of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef;
- To prepare and assist at special functions which may sometimes be outside normal working hours;
- Maintaining strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure quality of product;
- To ensure compliance of all cleaning schedules required for the kitchen;
- To assist with the training and development of the kitchen staff;
- Stock ordering and rotation;
- Ensuring safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times;
- To assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals at the required times and to the required standard;
- To assist with menu planning, orders, checking and storing deliveries and rotas as directed by the Head Chef.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of success creating quality and innovative food;
- Worked as a CDP/ Senior CDP in a busy restaurant or hotel dealing with large covers;
- Kitchen with Rosettes;
- Previous experience maintaining strict kitchen GP’s;
- Leadership and management skills;
- Passion for Food;
- Senior Chef De Partie up to £25,000 plus tips;
- Previous experience catering for large scale events of up to 250 heads.
