Deputy Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To be the responsible person for the facilitating of training of all staff. To ensure full compliance in all mandatory fields;
- To carry our regular staff supervisions and identify training needs;
- Have excellent product knowledge across a broad product range;
- Responsibility to make referrals to external agencies and regulatory bodies;
- Fulfil recruitment needs for the nursery as required aligned to the Safer Recruitment Policy;
- Strong visual merchandising skills;
- Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies;
- Provide training to colleagues to ensure they have outstanding product knowledge;
- In conjunction with the Manager to ensure that an effective staff rota is always in place;
- Delivering an excellent level of care;
- Ensure the highest possible standards of care, assessing residents’ needs and wishes, and developing services to enhance their quality of life;
- Liaise effectively with staff to ensure transfer of information within the Home;
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines – identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively;
- To undertake sleep in duties if required (although you will not be on the sleep-in rota);
- Maximising store efficiency through operations management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- Understands and effectively uses IT and communication systems required for the role;
- Genuine desire and passion for ongoing learning and development;
- Develop internal and external business relationships based on mutual respect and professionalism;
- Able to analyse problems and propose solutions;
- A positive and flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person centred ethos, exhibiting empathy and a desire to make a difference;
- Ability to work under pressure whilst motivating their team;
- Good with nursing;
- Full and relevant Level 3 and or above(equivalent) Childcare qualification;
- Numerate and literate with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
- Dementia awareness;
- Experience of managing a home;
- Sensitive to and respectful of the values, views and needs of others;
- RGN Qualified & NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) registered;
- Minimum qualification NVQ L3.
