Our company is looking for a HGV Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Local Deliveries around Staffordshire and Cheshire;
  • Day work (starting between 5 am and 8 am);
  • Trunking;
  • Meeting and communicating with the clients directly;
  • Both day and night shifts available;
  • You will also be responsible to assist with other roles around the site;
  • curtain side trailers, modern units;
  • Physically loading and unloading goods to and from the vehicle;
  • Working days are Monday to Saturday every week. 6 days every week;
  • Performing pre and post vehicle checks in accordance with company policy and reporting any defects found;
  • Handballing;
  • Daily walk around checks of your vehicle to maintain roadworthiness;
  • Overtime opportunities available;
  • Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely;
  • Deliveries around the Midlands.

Requirements:

  • CPC;
  • No more than 6 Points for minor offences;
  • Digital Tacho Card;
  • Be able to work in a busy environment;
  • Have a CO cert (formally Level D) training will be provided;
  • Drivers would need to be able to work from 06.00 – 16.30;
  • Professional attitude to work;
  • Good Understanding of WTDs (Working Time Directives);
  • Overtime opportunities available;
  • Clean CRB (DBS);
  • Minimum 6 months experience driving HGV lorry in central London;
  • Clean licence preferable;
  • Some manual handling would be needed for the drainage equipment;
  • Must comply with the laws set out by the DVSA;
