Our company is looking for a Associate Director – Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work standard to meet and follow both the quality standards expected of a Chartered RICS Surveyor;
- To mentor and support staff including both trainees and graduates in their professional development;
- To take responsibility for the full cost management of multi-million pre and post contract works including reporting to Clients;
- To gain the confidence of the client and become the focal point for communication;
- Ensures personnel and staff comply with all procedures;
- Actively pursues and encourages others to recognize potential business leads;
- To regularly update Business Director on the progress of projects and provide high quality information to assist the business in decision-making;
- Demonstrates good knowledge of clients, competitors, client care policy;
- To ensure contracts are administered correctly and reducing risks;
- Participate in working groups as required;
- To regularly liaise and build relationships with colleagues ensuring consistency of service delivery;
- To seek out potential business development opportunities or leads and either follow through or inform senior management;
- Growth and development of the QS team to meet business plan targets;
- Represent the Company in a professional and diligent manner and form strong working relationships with Clients;
- To be comfortable taking a brief from clients, acting upon it and producing best practice solutions for the clients.
Requirements:
- Shows highly developed persuasive skills (oral);
- Demonstrates co-operation and willingness to work with others;
- Computer Literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office;
- Measurement and pricing of variations;
- Proven experience in cost planning;
- Understands and listens to others’ requirements;
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts;
- Experienced and capable presenter, both of technical and business matters;
- Results-driven, with a logical, practical and methodical drive to achieving business performance;
- A strong advocate of developing people to balance business performance metrics and sustainable succession planning;
- Excellent interpersonal Skills;
