Our company is looking for a Engineering Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Repair and manufacture of electronic equipment using fault finding (both analogue and digital) to component level;
- Inspecting inventory, reordering materials and technical components;
- Writing specifications, instructions, reports, and handling other required administrative duties;
- Ensuring all equipment and products meet health and safety regulations;
- Bill of materials update;
- Testing of 240v equipment;
- Inspection of safety critical equipment;
- Carry out planned maintenance programmes and schedules recommending improvements where appropriate, to ensure efficiencies are maximised;
- Manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs);
- Champion a part of the line taking ownership producing SOP’s and PPM’s improve efficiency and and throughput of the line;
- Carrying out all duties in accordance with safe working practices and factory hygiene standards;
- Service and testing of Relays;
- Manufacturing to pattern;
- Analyse line efficiency, wastage and downtime data with a view to identifying areas for performance improvement;
- Produce detailed written reports when and where required i.e. downtime sheets and line log books.
Requirements:
- Approx 3 years post apprenticeship experience;
- Level 3 / 4 OAKS;
- Relevant qualifications and / or experience is essential (e.g. Engineering Apprenticeship with an industrial focus);
- Minimum HNC in an Engineering;
- Engineering Industry recognised apprenticeship (4-5 Year);
- 1 year post apprenticeship experience.
