Fire Alarm Engineer / Security Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer / Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing certification for installed and serviced systems to comply with relevant British standards;
- Identifying potential opportunities where customers could benefit from using additional services;
- Managing own diary to ensure allocated work is completed on time;
- Installing, servicing and commissioning small to medium sized fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems;
- Responding to out of hours calls whilst covering on call duty.
Requirements:
- Excellent communicator;
- Good working knowledge of BS5839 (Fire Alarm Regulations) and British Standards BS5266 along with security regulations;
- Good knowledge of intruder and fire systems, CCTV/IP CCTV would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided;
- Be able to plan and prioritise workload;
- Ideally Completed some or all FIA training units 1-5 but training would be supported;
- Reliable, tenacious and adaptable;
- CSCS (ECS) Card;
- Must be able to work independently and safely;
- Methodical and logical problem-solving abilities;
- Good working knowledge of a wide range of control panels.
