BI Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a BI Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Data validation & assistance with User Acceptance Testing;
- Software installation and configuration;
- Assist in the internal knowledge transfer within the business;
- Travel is required in the UK and occasionally worldwide;
- Help design big data warehouses and advise on infrastructure decisions;
- Support BD and estimate business opportunities;
- Define responsibilities for tools both in house and at affiliates;
- Providing Reports for business users;
- Define what KPIs to be followed and from which sources – working with affiliates to align at earliest possible point;
- Work with other departments to identify reporting/data requirements and solutions;
- Produce actionable and insightful visualisations and dashboards from large, complex datasets in many different fields;
- Presenting to stakeholders;
- Collaborate with data owners and data stewards across division to highlight data issues, investigate root cause and oversee solutions;
- Gain a deep understanding of BI tools, and be able to share this knowledge through conducting trainings;
- Communicate the project status directly with engagement and project managers.
Requirements:
- T-SQL;
- Power BI/ Tableau;
- Insight Analysis skillset;
- SSRS;
- Excellent Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills;
- Finance systems experience;
- Fluent in all components of the Microsoft Stack (inc SSAS/SSIS/PowerBI);
- Excellent experience of using BI Tools (Tableau, SiSense, PowerBI, Business Objects etc.);
- Knowledge of data visualisation and front end development;
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server development;
- FMCG background;
- Qlik Sense experience desired;
- QlikView Designer & Developer Certified, QlikView Server Certified desired;
- Qlik Sense Certified desired;
- University degree or equivalent experience.
