BI Data Analyst Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a BI Data Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering insight to dialler and CRM data, understanding key metrics and making recommendations for improvements;
  • Provide analytical support to the contact centre, identifying new opportunities for new initiatives and campaigns to improve conversion;
  • Presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels;
  • Produce BI and MI reporting utilising data across the business and provide actionable insight and recommendations;
  • Deliver a variety of ad hoc analysis for all departments;
  • Develop, manage and improve current BAU and regular reports;
  • Taking briefs from stakeholders at all levels, understanding their requirements and answering business questions through data;
  • Providing accurate and timely analysis for a variety of departments across the business;
  • Creating easily digestible and interactive dashboards using data visualisation and BI tools;
  • Identify trends and proactively troubleshoot;
  • Managing self-serve reports, ensuring they are accurate, useful and being used effectively;
  • Providing actionable insight from complex data, making recommendations for changes and improvements and continuing to monitor changes.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills;
  • Continuously looking for improvements;
  • Ideally have experience using Power BI or similar platform;
  • Ability to identify trend and tell a story from data;
  • Advanced Excel user;
  • 1+ years experience in a Data Analyst role;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
  • Strong problem solver, inquisitive personality and ability to work independently and proactively;
  • 2 years+ experience in a similar Data Analytics role using SQL;
  • Experience producing BI Analysis and visualising data in dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview etc;
  • Experience presenting complex data and information in a easily understandable way to a non-technical audience;
  • Experience in other tools such as R, Python, Google Analytics, CRM tools, Alteryx would be useful but not essential;
  • Strong SQL experience is essential (scripting, querying database etc);
  • Proven ability to tell a story from data and relate it to the business, making recommendations.
