Buying Admin Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Buying Admin Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To work with the team on delivering the strategy for the department;
- To undertake other / ad hoc duties commensurate with the role, as required;
- Undertake any other duties as requested by the Senior Buyer/Buyer;
- To support the buyer with product choice, introduction of new lines and product development;
- To be responsible for allocated categories and management of their performance;
- Supporting the Senior Buyer/Buyer in the delivery of Supplier KPI’s as well as Supplier management;
- To manage supplier relationships on categories which you are responsible for;
- To support the buying function through Supplier set up, new line set up and management of pricing, markdowns, funding, retros and exit strategy;
- Development of self through development and delivery of own PDP;
- Creation of spread sheets and analysis of data/ working with relevant databases to ensure delivery of department objectives;
- Supporting the Senior Buyer/Buyer to deliver or exceed budgeted category sales, profit, margin and year end stock number.
Requirements:
- Ability to be versatile and adapt plans where necessary;
- Results driven and results focused;
- Attention to detail is key as this is a fast paced role, so a sharp eye is essential;
- A meticulous approach to organisation and effective timekeeping to manage workload and deadlines;
- Team player who collaborates and communicates effectively at all levels;

- Ability to deal with large volumes of data, interpret numbers and apply learnings;
