Our company is looking for a Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet targets for self-generating starts to maintain and maximise caseload;
  • Take ownership of annual performance & development plan;
  • Support and communicate effectively with colleagues across the business;
  • Motivate and drive learners to achieve their work-based qualifications within agreed timescales;
  • Demonstrate on-going engagement and commitment with vision and values;
  • To review the progress of learners, ensuring their continued welfare and development;
  • Prepare and review action and assessment plans;
  • Accurate and timely completion of all relevant documentation and records relating to learners’ training and progress;
  • Liaising with other relevant individuals across the business;
  • Attend assessor and standardisation meetings as required;
  • To ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are carried out whilst observing candidates in their workplace;
  • To be conversant with the contents of the Staff Hadbook including the disciplinary procedure;
  • Pro-actively engage with employers and update them of learner’s progress;
  • To promote the company as a quality training provider;
  • To manage, assess and support a caseload of learners.

Requirements:

  • To be professional, co-operative and flexible to meet organisational and stakeholder needs, undertaking such duties as may reasonably be expected;
  • A strong commitment to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of learners;
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation and policy;
  • To be able to deliver commercial training if appropriate;
  • DBS check as appropriate;
  • Act with envrionmental sustainability in mind at all times;
  • Willng to travel and undertake overnight stays;
  • Teaching qualifications CTLLS / DTLLS /CERT ED / PGCE;
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent qualifications;
  • Experienced in delivering up to Level 3 in Health & Social Care;
  • Experienced in delivering functional skills;
  • Classroom/Workshop delivery experience;
  • hold either D32 / D33 / A1 / TAQA;
  • Knowledge of the apprenticeship frameworks;
  • A relevant teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, Cert.Ed etc).
