Our company is looking for a Exam Invigilator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and seat students appropriately;
  • Invigilate students throughout the exam;
  • Collect and secure exam scripts and return them to the examinations officer;
  • Ensure that the candidates behave appropriately during their time in the examination hall;
  • Distribution of scripts;
  • Ensure that the candidates do not have unauthorised materials on their desks;
  • Preparing the rooms;
  • Supervision of students during examinations;
  • To assist with setting up examination rooms by laying out equipment, stationary and examination papers as per the outlined procedures;
  • To collect and collate examination papers at the end of the examination in accordance with the schools procedures;
  • To supervise students if they need to leave the examination, ensuring that they do not remove any equipment, stationary or papers from the room;
  • To ensure that students do not talk once they are inside the examination room;
  • Assisting with setting up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures;
  • Escorting candidates on toilet breaks ensuring no unauthorized material is consulted and that examination regulations are observed at all times;
  • Invigilating during examinations dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with procedures.

Requirements:

  • Collection and collation of all scripts;
  • Ensuring that the examination room is clear and tidied for the next session and that equipment is returned;
  • Starting and finishing each allocated examination in accordance with the Exam Board regulations and guidelines;
  • Setting up exam rooms in accordance with the Exam Board regulations and guidelines;
  • Experience of invigilation is not required as training in the role and duties of an invigilator will be provided;
  • Patience throughout the exams;
  • Ability to work well in a team;
  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations;
  • Communication;
  • Invigilators are required to confirm their availability in advance of main exam periods;
  • Administrative skills;
  • Good level and understanding of English.
