Therapeutic Children’s Residential Support Worker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Therapeutic Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To be alert to signs of distress or abuse, and to ensure that the young people are monitored and protected following safeguarding procedures;
- To participate in the development of individual risk assessments, behaviour support and treatment plans;
- To maintain a high standard of record keeping and report writing;
- To be a key worker to specific children and participate in the primary care and support for all children and young people with the home;
- To contribute to care planning, participating in reviews and other meetings as required, and to assist in the implementation of care plans.
Requirements:
- A passion for working with disadvantaged children to improve their life chances;
- Resilience to be able to firmly and fairly manage challenging behaviour and promote positive behaviour;
- Full driving licence.
