BI Developer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a BI Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create visualisations and reports for requested projects;
- Perform detailed analysis of business processes and systems and make suggestions based on your findings;
- Involvement in Azure migration and Big Data technologies;
- Support existing ETLs, data and reporting solutions, designing and implementing changes to meet the business need;
- Support and develop the end-to-end ETL and Data Modelling solutions;
- Work with the team to promote Analytics across the business;
- Create and automate daily business reports from our data platforms and other sources;
- Support users across the business in the use of the Looker reporting tool;
- Help manage and administer the Looker BI Platform;
- Collect business requirements for new reports & analytical tools and develop using SQL, Excel and Power BI;
- Collaborate with teams to integrate systems;
- Evaluate and improve existing BI systems;
- Provide ETL and Data Warehouse best practice and guidance across the team;
- Help maintain and develop a resilient Data Warehouse underpinning a variety of analytical requirements;
- Support and maintain the Tonik Energy BI documentation and monitoring framework.
Requirements:
- Microsoft BI Stack;
- Experience of data visualisation tools – Yellowfin, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS or QlikView;
- Knowledge of dimensional modelling;
- Strong understanding of dashboard design and stakeholder management;
- SSAS (both multidimensional and tablular);
- Experience with ETL Tools;
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude;
- Data analytics;
- Some level of knowledge in cloud technologies desirable;
- Experience with SQL;
- Experience as a database and ETL developer;
- Experience with large volumes of Data;
- Experience with large data volumes (desirable);
- AWS – Desired;
- Agile project delivery.
