Our company is looking for a Control Software Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Site based commissioning work;
  • Control and instrumentation systems functional specification and design, PLC system software configuration;
  • Executing full lifecycle software development;
  • Specifications, P&IDs, Control philosophies, Instrument schedules and Control system & communications block diagrams;
  • Liaison with clients both internal and external;
  • Undertake site surveys of existing installations;
  • Production of control and instrumentation design documentation and drawings including;
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code;
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system;
  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics;
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards;
  • Documenting and maintaining software functionality;
  • Understanding, interpreting and responding to the needs of other departments.

Requirements:

  • Good keyboard skills and IT literacy (ideally Word, Excel and Access);
  • Good organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
  • PLC5;
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of colleagues;
  • Allen Bradley ControlLogix;
  • Work within our established Quality Management System, ISO9001:2001 TickIT;
  • Ability to cope under pressure;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Development;
  • Water industry advantageous but not essential;
  • Ability to work on own initiative without supervision;
  • Good forward planning skills;
  • Must be able to deliver projects on time and within budget;
