Our company is looking for a Deployment Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • End to end application install including third parties software installation for all business units;
  • Adherence to MIS standards, processes and procedures;
  • Support L2 engineers across region when required or as directed by management;
  • Ensure all replacement computers are working correctly before user sign off including all engineering applications;
  • Remove hard drives and arrange local WEEE collection;
  • Receive, process new desktop and mobile computers and prepare for build;
  • Be in a position to provide update list of computers due for refresh using asset lists;
  • Maintain asset lists (Spreadsheet, AD and ServiceNow Asset management);
  • Implement and quality test newly built computers;
  • Creating and Maintaining project documentation in accordance with ISO guidelines;
  • Internal testing and troubleshooting in preparation for formal testing;
  • Execution of all Site Acceptance tests covering physical installation, connectivity, and basic operation;
  • Becoming an expert on the product installation process, to include mechanical and electrical installation tasks;
  • Coordinating with Collins Aerospace developers and product experts, and third-party suppliers, as needed to achieve the successful installation;
  • Decommissioning of hardware of the all of the above.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and others);
  • ITIL V3 Awareness;
  • Experience of supporting bespoke applications, with the mentality to think outside the box;
  • Experience of troubleshooting/supporting technologies such as netbackup/MDT and Sharepoint;
  • Proven commitment to customer satisfaction;
  • Experience of setting up and supporting smart devices such as MS Surface Pro and IPad/Mobiles;
  • Must have previous experience of having worked in a large organization supporting 10,000+ user base across various locations;
  • Smart presentable with strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • The role will involve regular face to face contact with our customers, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key;
  • An understanding of IT hardware is a definite advantage;
  • This is a fast paced job that will require a degree of flexibility and dedication that makes you stand out from the crowd;
  • Full UK driving license is essential;
