Infrastructure Support Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- monitoring of alarms and traps for our customers via our monitoring tools;
- Maintaining client environments across George Jon’s global footprint;
- Assist the Data Technology Manager with 3rd level server, network infrastructure tasks as required;
- Configuring and maintaining equipment including PCs, MAC OS, laptops, printers, tablets, iphones etc;
- Manage major incidents to an exacting standard;
- Commit to department efforts around continuous improvement;
- Manage weekly vulnerability scanning processes and action recommendations where required;
- Accurately log all support calls in the appropriate Helpdesk tracking system (Currently SysAid);
- Driving fault resolution to ensure SLA’s are not breached;
- Implementation and Support of eDiscovery applications and supporting infrastructure;
- Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues;
- To ensure prompt and efficient handling and resolution of related escalations to the satisfaction of their customers;
- Provide 1st/ 2nd line desktop, network, telephone and server, business application support;
- Assisting Application Support Engineers with application issues; employing root causes analysis;
- Follow standard methods for proper escalation of unsolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
Requirements:
- Office 365;
- Advanced Networking;
- Firewall Administration (SonicWALL preferred);
- Networking basics;
- Understanding of the EDRM Framework;
- Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS);
- Scripting for automation;
- Microsoft SQL Server;
- Microsoft Clustering;
- Microsoft IIS;
- Microsoft SCCM exp;
- Microsoft Windows Client Operation systems (Win 7 & Win 10);
- Windows Server 2012 and above Administration;
- Intermediate knowledge of Relativity, NUIX, and LAW software platforms;
- Cisco routing and switching; Force10 a plus.
