Plant Fitter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Plant Fitter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining records relating to maintenance of site and equipment;
- Overseeing and ensuring the safe operation of waste processing and pumping equipment;
- Assisting with commissioning new equipment;
- Repair and maintain plant equipment;
- Assisting management with maintaining the site’s EPR permit;
- Ensuring preventative maintenance is carried out.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Engineering qualification;
- Current driving licence and ideally a Fork Lift licence (FLT);
- Experience within a similar role;
- Good verbal communication skills;
- Flexible approach to working hours;
- Experience of welding, hydraulic systems and electrical systems;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Major component overhaul skills;
- The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure;
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
