The Teaching Assistant is enrolled in a graduate program. Teaches and participates in empirical (qualitative/quantitative) research within a specialized discipline/interdisciplinary field. Being a Teaching Assistant may require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty.

Our company is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour;
  • Encourage children’s confidence, self-esteem, and Independence;
  • Driving standards and helping delivering excellent teaching;
  • Reporting to the class teacher and assisting them;
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing;
  • are willing to contribute to the wider life of the school;
  • Assisting the Teacher with delivery of lesson, classroom organisation and support creating resources;
  • Support the teacher in the delivery of engaging and successful lessons;
  • Supporting the pupil with their work;
  • Acting as a positive role model to the pupils and be passionate about helping young people reach their full potential;
  • Constant work available with day-to-day, short-term, long-term and TEMP to PERM options;
  • Support the complex specific needs of specified pupils – physical, emotional, medical or behavioural;
  • Working with the school’s SENCO and pastoral team to help provide successful support;

Requirements:

  • has experience of working within a Primary setting from EYFS to KS2;
  • Confident working on a 1:1 or group basis;
  • Enthusiastic, resilient and committed;
  • Experience working with SEN pupils;
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff;
  • Classroom and behaviour management;
  • Have fantastic communication skills, and not be afraid to voice new ideas;
  • Be resilient and have a determined approach;
  • Be registered with the EWC;
  • Experience of working with phonics would be advantageous;
  • Is able to work independently and use their own initiatives;
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Teachers;
  • Be experienced using PECS;
  • Previous experience with Upper KS2 and KS1 teaching assistant roles;
  • Recent experience working alongside children with special educational needs.
