Our company is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be eager to learn and grow with our fantastic staff;

  • Supporting students in a classroom;
  • Preparing learning materials under the supervision of the teacher;
  • Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups;
  • Assisting students in their work;
  • Building and maintaining rapport with students;
  • Keeping records and attending review meetings;
  • Giving information and help to teachers;
  • Supporting students with a range of SEND;
  • Supporting & educating the students;
  • Supporting the progress of the young people within the school;
  • Supporting the class teacher with daily tasks;
  • Working with students on a 1:1 basis and also in small groups;
  • Supporting students with PMLD.

Requirements:

  • Highly ambitious & enthusiastic;
  • Creative thinking;
  • Provide a calm and safe environment for all students;
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff;
  • Previous experience working with students who display challenging behaviour;
  • Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour;
  • Teaching Assistant qualification preferable but not essential;
  • It is essential that you have SEND Teaching assistant experience, team teach training would be desirable;
  • Experience working with special needs pupils;
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
  • Resilient and can build rapport easily with staff and students;
  • Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but will accept candidates with previous school experience;
  • Teaching Assistant qualification desirable;
  • Previous experience working with SEN students;
  • You must have legal right to work in the UK.
