Our company is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Will be eager to learn and grow with our fantastic staff;
- Will possess a geniune passion to work with children;
- Supporting students in a classroom;
- Preparing learning materials under the supervision of the teacher;
- Working inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groups;
- Assisting students in their work;
- Building and maintaining rapport with students;
- Keeping records and attending review meetings;
- Giving information and help to teachers;
- Supporting students with a range of SEND;
- Supporting & educating the students;
- Supporting the progress of the young people within the school;
- Supporting the class teacher with daily tasks;
- Working with students on a 1:1 basis and also in small groups;
- Supporting students with PMLD.
Requirements:
- Highly ambitious & enthusiastic;
- Creative thinking;
- Provide a calm and safe environment for all students;
- Ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff;
- Previous experience working with students who display challenging behaviour;
- Experience working with students who display challenging behaviour;
- Teaching Assistant qualification preferable but not essential;
- It is essential that you have SEND Teaching assistant experience, team teach training would be desirable;
- Experience working with special needs pupils;
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
- Resilient and can build rapport easily with staff and students;
- Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but will accept candidates with previous school experience;
- Teaching Assistant qualification desirable;
- Previous experience working with SEN students;
- You must have legal right to work in the UK.
