Our company is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • 5 weeks (pro rota) annual leave plus bank holidays;
  • Calculate and administer medications and keeping accurate records;

  • To clean and autoclave all surgical instruments and equipment;
  • Prepare, identify and record results from radiography equipment;
  • To provide treatment to animals as prescribed by the vet;
  • To admit animals for surgery and discharge them back to their owners, taking all monies due;
  • Be responsible for own learning and practice development and proactively developing skills and knowledge to meet service needs;
  • Prepare surgical theatre for the day’s operations;
  • RCVS fees paid CPD allowance;
  • Administration of drugs, anaesthetic and injections;
  • Nurse clinics;
  • Share knowledge and experience with others and to provide support to other members of the clinic team.

Requirements:

  • Nurse clinics;

  • 1:5 OOH/weekend work;
  • Taking blood samples and placing intravenous catheters;
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and local policy within the surgery;
  • 5 weeks holiday (with the option to buy an additional two weeks leave);
