FP&A Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a FP&A Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare management reporting packs in a timely and clear fashion, with risks and opportunities readily identified;
- Provide insightful analysis and review of business performance to senior stakeholders, including Capex, Headcount and Sales Churn;
- Managing a small team of FP&A staff;
- Acting as FP&A Partner to all Business Unit/Departments, constantly liaising with Business Unit leaders and Business Unit Heads;
- Delivering insightful projects;
- Deputise for the Head of FP&A in their absence;
- Long term planning;
- Deep dive analysis to maximise business performance;
- Lead the planning cycle covering P&L, balance sheet & cash flow;
- Financial analysis to support with strategic development and key business decisions;
- Working closely with the Senior FP&A Manager in delivering presentational outputs for discussion with the Executive team and Board;
- Production of accurate and timely financial reporting;
- Production of the annual operating plan and re-forecasts;
- Business partner with department heads to support with strategic decisions across the business;
- Building and developing the commercial finance provision for the business.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, monthly forecast and periodic business reviews;
- Team orientated, a “can do” attitude and flexible approach;
- Desire to get into the details and help bring MagicLab’s ambitious plans to life;
- Possess experience in delivering high-level, forward thinking commercial analysis and driving business outcomes;
- FP&A experience gained within established businesses, ideally within the consumer digital sector;
- Qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent);
- Strong working knowledge of accounting, controlling and finance operations. Knowledge of SAP and Adaptive Insights desirable;
- Possess strong Excel and IT systems skills;
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
- Strong presentation skills;
- Strong background in financial planning and commercial business partnering, ideally in an SME, fast-moving business environment;
- 1-2 years experience working in a commercial finance role;
- Strong, collaborative leader;
- Be confident in performance/pricing analysis and reporting;
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
