Site Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Site Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Programme reporting;
- Motivating the workforce;
- Quality control of properties;
- Set up contract file and H&S documentation such as CPH&SP, Risk assessments, method statements;
- Writing reports through IT and MS office packages;
- Establish that staff training and development has occurred as plan at annual appraisal and appraisal;
- Applying in‐depth knowledge of all aspects of building regulations and H&S regulations;
- Supervision of site on a day to day basis and liaising with company superiors;
- Working with the Site Manager, supervise all sub-contractors and trades;
- Working with the contracts manager to plan site operations from start to finish and highlight potential problems in advance;
- Providing regular progress updates and holding regular project reviews the visiting Contracts Manager;
- Use the subcontract manual and trade specifications as a basis for managing the subcontractor’s obligations;
- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards;
- Managing safety on site, being able to assist in case of emergency;
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilise assets to produce optimal results.
Requirements:
- First-Aid;
- Asbestos Awareness;
- Managing all trades and materials;
- Mechanical & Electrical;
- Building/Construction;
- BSc or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/HND or the equivalent;
- CSCS Card;
- Applicants must have experience managing projects like apartments and student accommodation with a project value of £30M plus;
- Flexible working practices;
- Property Refurbishment experience;
- SMSTS and First Aid at Work;
- Proven records of delivering high standards of work;
- Computer literate, competence with Microsoft Office. An understanding of Microsoft Navision Dynamics would be advantageous;
- Comfortable with ground works packages;
- Good time keeping.
