Administrative Coordinator

£28k - £35k per annum
Full-time

About Us

We’re  Cyted , a pioneering gastrointestinal diagnostics company transforming earlier detection for oesophageal cancer and Barrett’s oesophagus.
Our  EndoSign test combines a swallowable capsule with advanced biomarkers and analytics to detect disease earlier, improving patient outcomes while reducing pressures on healthcare systems.

What started as an idea between a health-tech entrepreneur and leading clinical scientists in Cambridge UK, has quickly grown internationally, backed by EQT Life Sciences and a $44M Series B investment.

But we still work like a startup - because we are one. Things move quickly and we’re building as we go. Some days you’ll solve brand new problems and others you’ll roll your sleeves up and get things done.

We’re a collaborative team, so your work matters. We have our investors trust, but you won’t disappear into layers of hierarchy, waiting months for decisions. If you've got a good idea, we want to hear it - whatever your role.

We like curious, adaptable people who are always willing to learn. This isn’t a polished corporate - we’re building as we go.
If you're excited to help build something ambitious from the ground up that makes a real difference to patients' lives - we'd love to hear from you.

Our four-stage process runs on a rolling basis, with each stage serving a clear purpose. Shaped by candidate feedback, we've designed it to give you honest insights into Cyted, whatever the role.
  1. Initial conversation – A relaxed online conversation with Maddie from our People team to get to know you, talk through your experience and answer any questions you have about Cyted.
  2. Line manager interview – An online discussion exploring the role in more detail through scenario-based and role-specific questions.
  3. Team interview & assessment – Meet the wider team in person and see how we work. You'll complete a presentation or practical assessment so we can hear your ideas and see how you approach challenges at Cyted.
  4. Final Interview – Marcel, our CEO, still meets every potential new joiner. It's an opportunity to discuss your ambitions and how they align with Cyted's journey and future vision.

Role Summary

As Cyted's Administrative Coordinator, you'll work closely with our Chief of Staff, supporting the day-to-day running of the business and helping keep our leadership team organised. You'll gain experience across a wide range of activities, from coordinating meetings and travel to supporting company events, improving processes and helping projects stay on track.

No two days are the same. You'll work with colleagues across both our UK and US teams, learning how a growing international healthcare company operates while developing valuable skills in organisation, communication and business operations.
We're not looking for someone who has done this exact role before. We're looking for someone who is organised, eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and takes pride in doing a great job. If you're proactive, curious and like making things happen, we'll give you the support and opportunities to build a successful career.

As Cyted continues to grow, you'll have the chance to develop new skills, take on increasing responsibility and shape your own career as the business evolves.

Working Pattern and Location

The role is a full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour working week. The role holder may be required to work flexibly and may need to visit other company sites when and if required.

You will be based a minimum of 3 days a week at Cyted’s Office, 149 Cherry Hinton Road, Cambridge, United Kingdom, CB1 7BX.

In this role you will be accountable for:

Supporting the Leadership Team

  • Helping coordinate diaries, meetings and priorities for the Chief of Staff and leadership team.
  • Organising meetings, preparing agendas and making sure actions are followed up.
  • Coordinating UK and international travel, accommodation and meeting logistics.
  • Processing expenses and helping ensure leaders have everything they need for meetings and events.
  • Helping keep day-to-day executive operations running smoothly.
Keeping the Business Organised
  • Coordinating leadership meetings, company events, offsites and team activities.
  • Helping keep projects moving by following up on actions and supporting coordination across teams.
  • Supporting internal communications and helping ensure important information reaches the right people.
  • Building strong relationships across the business and becoming a trusted point of contact for colleagues.
Supporting Business Operations
  • Supporting onboarding and administrative activities for new starters.
  • Helping maintain organised records, documents and business information.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the Cambridge office, including facilities, suppliers and workplace organisation.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the way we work.
  • Providing flexible support across the business as priorities change and new opportunities arise.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Qualifications & Experience

  • A recent graduate or someone with up to three years’ experience in an administrative, coordination, office support or customer-facing role.
  • Experience organising meetings, events, projects or administrative activities through work, university, internships or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, such as a growing business, hospitality, retail or customer service, would be an advantage.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and other workplace technology, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, with an interest in using technology and AI tools to improve the way work gets done.
Personal Attributes
  • Positive, adaptable and eager to learn, with a genuine desire to build a successful career.
  • Takes ownership, uses initiative and enjoys solving problems while supporting others.
  • Collaborative, dependable and motivated to deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving team.

Success in this role will look like:

At Cyted, how we work is just as important as the impact we create. As we continue to grow across the UK and US, our values shape how we work together and how we build our business. As our Administrative Coordinator, you’ll play an important role in helping the organisation run smoothly, supporting our Chief of Staff and leadership team while gaining exposure to every part of a fast-growing international healthcare company.

We Care . We care deeply about the patients we serve and the colleagues we work alongside. In this role, care means helping others do their best work. Whether you’re organising a meeting, coordinating travel or supporting an important project, you’ll approach every task with professionalism, attention to detail and a genuine desire to help the team succeed.

We Own . We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and follows things through. You’ll take responsibility for your tasks, stay organised, communicate clearly and use your initiative to solve problems. As your confidence grows, you’ll be encouraged to take on increasing responsibility and become someone others can rely on.

We Aim High . Cyted is growing quickly, which means every day brings new opportunities to learn. You’ll be part of a business where priorities move fast, no two days are the same and you’ll gain experience that most early career roles simply can’t offer. We’ll support you to develop new skills and grow alongside the company.

We Dive Deep . We want you to understand how the business works, not just complete tasks. You’ll build relationships across teams, learn how different functions work together and develop a strong understanding of what helps our business succeed. The more you learn, the more opportunities you’ll have to contribute.

We Challenge & Commit . Fresh perspectives make us better. If you see a simpler way of doing something or spot an opportunity to improve how we work, we want to hear it. We encourage everyone to share ideas, and once a decision is made, we work together to deliver it.

We Deliver . Success in this role isn’t measured by the number of meetings you organise or emails you send. It’s measured by the difference you make. By helping the business stay organised, supporting your colleagues and keeping priorities moving, you’ll play an important role in helping Cyted grow and deliver earlier detection and better outcomes for patients.

If you’re organised, ambitious and excited by the opportunity to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
