Our company is looking for a Children’s Support Worker to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating a safe and supportive environment,
  • Supporting the physical and emotional needs of children,
  • Offering a high quality person centred care approach,
  • Personal care;
  • Assistance with personal care, dressing and toileting;
  • Support and encourage with improving their independence;
  • Meal preparation;
  • attend social activities;
  • Supporting independence skills;
  • Attending meetings relating to the care of the children including review and planning meetings;
  • Updating records, manual and computer, relating to the care of children;
  • Administering medications (once training has been given);
  • Good communication skills and the ability to relate well to other people;
  • Supporting the child attending educational, religious, social and cultural activities;
  • Strong desire to learn, develop and to help others to do the same.

Requirements:

  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not essential;
  • At least 3 months’ previous care experience;
  • Access to a smartphone or device with internet access to manage your rotas and payslips on our mobile app HealthForceGo;

  • A recognised Child Care Qualification (minimum of QCF Level 3);
  • It is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle;
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
  • Be aware of PICA diagnosis (eats anything and everything);
  • Hold a full driving licence;
  • You must be committed to gaining the Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare during the first 18 months of your employment;
  • Be available at weekends;
  • Full driving license;
  • Week 2, 2 sleeps required;
  • You will ideally have worked within a similar setting, in education or a care role;
  • There are full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (minimum of 22.5 hours per week) positions available.
