Our company is looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with loss adjusters, assessors and clients to confirm the nature and extent of the works;
  • Report weekly/monthly progress to all involved parties;
  • Attend meetings with loss adjusters, assessors and clients;
  • Tender works;
  • Prepare a tender report and recommendations to client;
  • Dilapidation Liability Assessment Reports on behalf of Landlord and Tenant;
  • Party Wall Duties;
  • Condition surveys on their portfolio of properties;
  • Prepare and present outline design proposals, including preparation of budget estimate costs;
  • Dilapidations;
  • Submit applications for statutory approvals, including Planning, Listed Building Consent and Building Control Approval;
  • Receiving Client instructions and agreeing fee proposals for various projects and professional surveying instructions;
  • Dilapidation negotiations;
  • Carry out measured surveys of existing buildings or sites;
  • To work with service managers and team leaders to allocate cases to the Home Improvement Technical Team.

Requirements:

  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS);
  • Ensure buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards;
  • At least 3 years’ post MRICS experience with provable technical delivery experience;
  • Supervision of building work on site;
  • Ability to win or bring work would be highly advantageous;
  • To develop Building Surveying work in London encompassing commercial and public sector;
  • Building Surveys – Condition; Defect reports and Pre-acquisition;
  • A thorough knowledge of Party Wall work is essential. A working knowledge of Health and Safety, CDM roles and asbestos legislation is also required;
  • 2 Years post qualification experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in Health and Safety procedures (CDM);
  • Building Surveying degree (RICS Accredited);
  • Manage the delivery of construction works;
  • Dilapidations (for both L & T);
  • UK Driving license;
  • Contract Administration experience (JCT / NEC).
