Our company is looking for a Assistant Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Shrinkwrapping completed products and using banding to secure a pallet;
- To assemble metal frames an affect small wheels etc using circa 12-17mm SS nuts and bolts;
- Helping to keep working areas clean and tidy;
- Any other duties as reasonably requested;
- To help other team members with manual handling;
- Attaching terminals and connectors electrical cable;
- Undertaking additional task as and when required to support other areas of the business;
- Creating and maintaining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings;
- Assembly of prototypes;
- Performing testing and calibration of production equipment / instruments;
- Creating, updating and maintenance of product manuals, user instructions and production & repair instructions;
- Performing product testing to defined test specifications and prepare test reports;
- Producing and maintaining Bills of Materials.
Requirements:
- Counterbalance Forklift licence prefered;
- Must be able to work unsupervised once familiar with tasks at hand;
- Must have own tools;
- Ability to maintaining accurate records;
- Technically minded;
- Experience, knowledge or exposure to design (using a CAD package such as solid works, solid edge or inventor);
- Any education / qualifications in either Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Design or Electronics would be an advantage;
- Must be able to lift circa 50kg between two people;
- Previous engineering knowledge – either from a college course, apprenticeship or as a graduate would be beneficial;
- High level of computer / IT literacy.
