Site Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Site Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and assist with site safety systems;
- Implementing the site project programme;
- Communications – Communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with regard to contracts and within QSG;
- Reactive calls – Respond to allocated calls, resolve and advise Help Desk, complete and return all relevant documentation;
- Planned Preventive – Carry out PPMs as allocated, complete and return all relevant documentation;
- Competent and accurate setting out skills;
- Review detailed design, critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction;
- Ensure only the latest issues of drawings are being used;
- Be confident to work under minimum supervision;
- Production of as-built drawings & records for every element of the works involved in;
- Manage labour on site and attend progress meetings;
- Implement the project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant;
- Carry out relevant inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan;
- Supervision and planning of workload for the site teams;
- As built surveys.
Requirements:
- Good word and excel skills;
- Competent in setting out;
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project etc;
- Proactive and driven person with a strong desire to make progress backed by a strong level of construction knowledge;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a site engineer;
- Technical knowhow;
- Residential project experience;
- Formal engineering qualifications;
- Available for long term work;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working on RC frame or civil engineering projects;
- BSc or BEng level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/HND or the equivalent;
- Highways experience;
- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately;
- DBS check on offer of employment;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the industry.
