German speaking Structural Engineer – home working Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a German speaking Structural Engineer – home working to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Generating structural reports and structural load assessments;
- Working closely with the sales team to assist in the completion of tenders for large scale projects;
- Using computers and computer-aided design (CAD) technology;
- Providing calculation packages for clients;
- Liaising with draughtspersons and detailers regarding steel/connection design;
- Completion of site surveys to discuss designs and/or solutions with clients;
- Analysing configurations of basic structural components of a building.
Requirements:
- 3D conceptual skills;
- Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent;
- High level of numeracy and literacy;
- High level of communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, management and colleagues;
- A minimum of 5 years Industry practical experience within steelwork and/or mezzanine floors;
- A sound knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes is required;
- Ideally experience of working as an Engineer within Germany;
- Computer application skills;
- Attention to detail is critical;
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
