Our company is looking for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on projects with consideration to the agreed project budgetary limits and time tables;
  • Willing to attend design meetings, site meetings and carryout site inspections;
  • Provide technical support to include report writing and presentations;
  • Analyse and report on structural defects in existing buildings and structures;
  • Assisting senior engineers to in the design of a variety of structures;
  • Visit site during the construction phase to monitor progress;
  • Carry out detailed design calculations to up-to-date Eurocodes and relevant design guidance notes;
  • Assist senior engineers in the use of relevant technical analysis, design software and AutoCAD;
  • Checking drawings and designs of peers;
  • Preparing structural inspection reports and remedial works reports;
  • Prepare outline designs for structural schemes;
  • Carry out structural surveys of existing buildings and advise on any issues that may arise;
  • Maintain all necessary project data and information;
  • Check outgoing and incoming documents, including Contractors proposal documentation;
  • Preparing structural designs and specifications for your projects, using all common materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering;
  • Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Structural Engineering;
  • A relevant degree; minimum BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering at a high grade;
  • Good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • A high level of technical competence;
  • Strong analytical, maths and technical skills;
  • Full clean driving license;
  • Excellent organisational skills and timekeeping;
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure;
  • Flexible approach to work and the ability to work as part of a team.
