Our company is looking for a Animator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Expected to ‘mentor’ entry level Animators and must be able to assist them with their shots;
• Responsible for the successful animation of a series of shots on a specific project;
• Strong staging and block-out skills, with a good eye for character posing;
• Experience working with and editing mocap data;
• An ability to interpret storyboards and take them through to final animation;
• Maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work;
• A solid understanding of traditional animation principles (timing, weight, etc.);
• Ability to create and iterate key-frame animation;
• Performs other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation;
• The ability to follow an artistic vision and interpret feedback and direction accurately.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting; expert knowledge of Maya, proprietary and other software programs;
• Experience working with and editing mocap data;
• Experience of character rigs and facial animation solutions;
• Strong staging and block-out skills, with a good eye for character posing;
• Excellent organization and communication skills;
• An ability to interpret storyboards and take them through to final animation;
• Knowledge of the principles of key-frame and motion capture technology;
• Knowledge of both the CG production pipeline and the other production processes at ILM;
• Ability to create and iterate key-frame animation;
• Motion Builder;
• A solid understanding of traditional animation principles (timing, weight, etc.);
• Knowledge of chaining and constraint techniques;
• Maya;
• The ability to follow an artistic vision and interpret feedback and direction accurately.
