Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing the longer-term strategy with the departmental partner including involvement in the recruitment process;
- Dealing with client queries, attend client meetings and agreeing time and financial budgets;
- Carry out review work on accounts and other assignments;
- Supervise, assist and mentor junior team members;
- Providing advice to owner managers on both business and personal matters;
- Delegate analysis work to more junior staff and monitor progress, including reviewing work once complete prepared by team members;
- Regular review of client WIP and debtor;
- Travelling to client premises as required and attending marketing events;
- Undertake special or one-off projects to assist with the development of the practice;
- Draft client invoices, chase outstanding invoices and assisting with proposals for new work;
- Use time effectively to carry out work whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail;
- training and supervising trainees and newly qualified staff;
- managing the audit process;
- Supervising team members as required;
- Statutory and management accounts preparation and reviewing the work of other team members.
Requirements:
- Experience of charity and academy audit and SRA accounts rules reviews;
- Have a keen eye for detail to produce high quality, accurate work;
- Excellent communicator;
- Have extensive accounts and audit experience gained within a practice environment;
- To demonstrate an understanding of employment legislation, especially the Equality Act;
- Additionally, you must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship;
- To demonstrate good timekeeping skills as well as displaying a professional attitude;
- Desire to work in a unique meritocratic culture;
- Be an excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally;
- Qualified ACA or ACCA (other comparable qualifications may be considered) with extensive audit experience gained within practice;
- Confidence to actively participate in team meetings making a wide range of suggestions, make decisions, solve problems and take appropriate action;
- You will be either ACA or ACCA qualified;
- Ability to prioritise workload to achieve client accounting deadlines and day to day work;
- Excellent IT skills; MS Office (especially Excel) and proficient in audit, accounts and tax software;
- Strong IT Skills.
