Buyer/Purchaser Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Buyer/Purchaser to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all supply chain risks/opportunities are identified within the commodity strategy and mitigated/realised;
- Assist with problem resolution during implementation and maintenance of commodity strategies;
- Ensure appropriate supplier contracts, KPIs and SLAs are negotiated with key suppliers;
- Assist sites with problem resolution on any supply chain related issues;
- All day to day buying and procurement for the division;
- Purchasing direct and indirect materials;
- To be assigned projects, to support commodity activity and development of the Purchasing function;
- Ensure that all Procurement data on Navision is correct and managed in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Confident to negotiate at all levels, and across cultures;
- Professional and ethical approach;
- Preferable to have experience in a construction / manufacturing / engineering environment;
- Self-motivated;
- Must have experience in a purchasing / supply chain role.
