Our company is looking for a Commercial Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the KPI reports based upon the 4-week schedule between management accountants;
  • Responsibility for the key financial processes to include sales invoicing and payroll;
  • Input of source financial information (sales and purchase ledgers);
  • Preparation and filing of payroll;
  • Distribute monthly reporting to stakeholders identifying areas of concern and opportunities;
  • Build strong relationships allowing you to challenge effectively;
  • Set benchmarks and spend parameters by cost category to be used for monthly reviews;
  • Liaison with Transactional Finance (shared services) to improve working capital;
  • Have control over the budgeting processes of the business;
  • Business partner with operations teams to grow their financial understanding;
  • Process control monitoring and improvement;
  • Budgeting and forecasting with key stakeholders;
  • Adhoc project work/cover for Group FC;
  • Assisting managers within the company on developing commercial strategies including costing and pricing strategies;
  • Prepare ad-hoc cost sensitivity analysis / evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Great communication and relationship building / Business partnering skills – able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleagues;
  • An enquiring mind that isn’t afraid to question and take initiative, looking for constant development and improvement of procedures;
  • Self-starter attitude with strong communication skills;
  • Excellent people skills and proven management ability;
  • Very commercially minded;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA);
  • Good team-player with the drive to see tasks through to completion and meet deadlines set;
  • Good understanding of financial & accounting principles including month end reporting and a good understanding of Balance Sheets;
  • 23 days holiday plus statutory holidays;
  • Relevant accountancy qualification or senior part qualified accountant (ACCA/ CIMA);
  • Clear and succinct communicator at all levels;
  • Ability work in fast paced professional environment;
  • Experienced in management accounts and budget / forecast preparation;
  • Ability to manage various stakeholder expectations and deliverables.
