Corporate Accountant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the existing Finance processes with a view to driving continuous development and improvement wherever appropriate;
- Preparation of technical accounting memoranda and other reports/materials for the Board;
- Review of the monthly management accounts;
- Provision of Finance process improvement recommendations to the Head of Finance and CFO;
- Assistance with new Finance systems implementations / system add-ons where necessary;
- Ensuring appropriate controls and documentation are in place for own areas of responsibility;;
- Assistance with preparation and submission of financial statements (annual and semi-annual);
- Assistance with regulatory capital related analysis and reporting;
- Developing new processes and controls in-line with business expansion and automation of the control environment;
- Ongoing taxation compliance including corporation tax and VAT;
- Assistance with technical accounting areas, such as new IFRSs and other technical legislation;
- Assisting on preparation of other Finance department deliverables;
- Assisting and guiding more junior Finance team members;
- Preparation of financial analysis in relation to strategic opportunities and decisions;
- Preparation of financial accounts in accordance with FRS102.
Requirements:
- Provision of Finance process improvement recommendations to the Head of Finance and CFO;
