Estimator Construction Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Estimator Construction to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost analysis for value of the project to the business;
- Understand scope of work in the bid, quotation and delivery phases of projects;
- Produce risk assessment and method statement if required;
- Manage project evolution, including specification evolution, through the life of the project to delivery;
- Plan and respond to quotation requests within an agreed timescale;
- Gather cost prices from suppliers and subcontractors for certain elements of the work if required;
- Prepare detailed estimates and door schedules to meet specifications;
- Maintain up to date information and ensure accurate handover of projects to the delivery team if required;
- Combination of slightly smaller works and larger tenders between few hundred pounds to in excess of £100K;
- Liaison with FM project managers and clients if required and manage expectations;
- Analyse drawings, accurately analyse & evaluate detailed specifications, understand scope of work, investigate details and other documentation;
- Review and evaluate cost estimates for products and systems going into door and door hardware projects;
- Order and procurement of materials if required;
- Ensure timely completion of estimates, schedules, quotations for all product families;
- Prepare cost estimates and complete tender responses.
Requirements:
- Highly numerate with well-developed ability to accurately manipulate numerical information;
- Time / self-management;
- PC literate with accurate keyboard skills; Word / Excel; record keeping, data entry, report writing;
- Commercial awareness;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Valid Driver’s License /Ability to Visit Client Sites;
- Technical, analytical and resourceful.
