Events Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Events Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and proofing print and digital marketing materials;
- Maintaining email lists for internal and external communications;
- Creating and managing event applications and surveys;
- Report on confirmed and forecasted revenue;
- Work with the Head of Finance to ensure that all events fees are collected in the most timely and cost effective manner Logistics;
- Proactively engage with direct and indirect sales teams to coordinate, communicate and optimize the impact of event activities;
- Creating new innovative experiences at our events;
- Managing various different suppliers;
- Supporting the Events Committee and various working groups;
- Managing relationships with clients and service providers;
- Developing new event solutions alongside the agency’s in-house team;
- Managing a wide variety of off-site events;
- Ensuring briefing docs are up to date and relevant for each event;
- Writing creative briefs to allow communications teams to produce engaging content;
- Maintain National and International venue knowledge.
Requirements:
- Enjoy and experienced in all areas of events;
- 2+ years of event experience. Ideally including organising conferences for over 500 attendees;
- Use of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a bonus;
- Highly proficient with modern tools including, but not limited to, Google Sheets, Docs and Pages, and Microsoft Excel;
- Interested in technology; has the capability and desire to learn new products and tools;
- Previous demonstrated experience of relating event efforts to an organisation’s broader growth plan;
- Use of Sketchup useful;
- Willing to work and travel outside traditional office hours, occasionally on weekends;
- A strong track record of success increasing venue hire income and business;
- Experience organising international events useful;
- A proven track record in Events management, ideally in a business to business setting;
- Demonstrably strong event planning, production and coordination skills;
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Events Manager role, covering departmental off-sites, customer hospitality, corporate events, trade shows;
- A highly organized team player with the ability to self-motivate, set your own project schedules, meet deadlines and achieve goals;
- Exceptional attention to detail.
