Finance Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures;
- Supporting efficiency and initiative tracking;
- Invoices management;
- Be the primary point of contact for location and operational management teams for all financial aspects of the contract;
- Assist managers and Strategic and Corporate Finance in producing and managing the group budget and strategic plan process;
- Maintain a strong financial control environment ensuring compliance with Company policies and implementing corrective measures when required;
- To prepare payments for invoices;
- Clear understanding of the existing processes and procedures;
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes providing quarterly forecasts and annual budgets;
- Good communication skills (written & verbal);
- Creation of standard and customised CRM reports;
- Involved in month end reporting;
- Provide the business review of regional performance;
- Completing forecasts on an ad-hoc basis;
- Run and produce budgets, forecasts and and report against.
Requirements:
- Experience of dealing with FX calculations on a Pan-E level preferred;
- ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) part qualified;
- A technically able accountant, with a good understanding of business in general, with commercial awareness and experience;
- Well-developed level of communication, networking and presentation skills;
- Ability to pre-empt, identify and respond to problems arising;
- Experienced working autonomously – self motivated;
- Background from Energy, Facilities, Utilities or Infrastructure is desirable;
- Liaising with external auditors;
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
- Commercial and Business acumen;
- Implement system changes required to support best practice reporting;
- At least 6 months experience in an IFRS 16 role – preferably with experience of property leases;
- Highly organised and self-motivated;
- Good working knowledge of SAP, COGNOS, BW and MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
