Our company is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a tax status register for all UK companies;
  • Liaise with HMRC on local matters;
  • Calculate the year end tax provisions, prepare tax disclosure notes on a statutory level for the UK companies and analyse trends as necessary;
  • Consolidate the tax provision and information needed for disclosure purposes in the consolidated Group accounts;
  • Fulfil other on-going tax compliance obligations;
  • Identify and advising on proactive tax planning opportunities;
  • Holistic tax advice to our portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses, split approximately 70% personal/30% corporate;
  • Managing the relationship between the tax department and other business functions, delivering tax advice on all matters;
  • Oversight of EMEA tax financial reporting for US GAAP and local statutory reporting purposes for relevant business units;
  • Development of the tax department, working in co-operation with the wider business and Partners;
  • Developing, oversight and support of other team members;
  • Oversight of the outsourced EMEA tax return compliance process. Manage staff responsible for EMEA compliance;
  • Managing tax risk through good governance: identifying and implementing process improvements;
  • Managing EMEA tax audits;
  • Delivering tax planning advice to clients.

Requirements:

  • High level knowledge and practical experience on other taxes, such as PAYE/NIC & other employee taxes;
  • Have a reputation for providing top class support to their stakeholders. Always enhancing our Finance brand;

  • Experience of monitoring & managing tax risks, including assessment of relevant controls;

  • Experience of working in a Financial Services environment.
