Strategic Sourcing Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with suppliers and execute term sheets/contracts;
- Establish processes and tools for monitoring value/savings, benchmarking, and driving ongoing optimisation;
- Develop category strategies by analysing spend across Coupa’s customers;
- Pro-actively recruit customers to engage in sourcing events with other customers;
- Help customers operationalise agreements and realise value;
- Plan and execute strategic sourcing events from analysis and strategy to execution of term sheets or contracts;
- Guide groups of customers toward rationalising and standardising business requirements, specifications, and baselining prices.
Requirements:
- Strong consulting attributes including intellectual curiosity, structured problem solving, workshop facilitation, and consensus building;
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university;
- Advanced data analytics skills with Excel, SQL and Sourcing/BI tools;
- Management consulting experience with a focus in strategic sourcing and procurement;
- Strong and demonstrable experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to structure ideas and conversations;
- MS or MBA from an accredited university.
