Graduate Systems Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graduate Systems Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting key members of the team in the automation and transformation of servers, networks and IT infrastructure;
- Assisting with the development of configuration management;
- Always working to drive best practice standards, and where practical taking preference on open source solutions;
- Administration of network infrastructure;
- Maintenance and deployment of Linux desktops and servers;
- You will also be actively seeking and incorporated and/or Chartered status with a professional engineering body.
Requirements:
- A degree within Computer Science, Networks, Engineering or a similar discipline;
- Interest and exposure to programming / scripting, ideally with Python;
- Familiarity with Linux, having ideally used it within academic / commercial projects or in your spare time;
- A keen interest in automation, networks, IT infrastructure;
- Exposure to an Agile/Scum environment is advantageous, but not compulsory;
- PCB development and test, including schematic entry;
- Various lab test equipment experience (meters, oscilloscopes, Logic analysers );
- Stepper & DC motor control;
- I nternational test standards, including safety and EMC;
- Experience with using Cadence, Creo and Microsoft Office applications;
- A nalogue and digital electronics;
- An ability to manage time effectively and work within tight deadlines.
